44: Barong Everywhere

Who would have thought the traditional Barong Tagalog can be chic and wearable today?

Last monday me and my group-mates tried to reinvent the resources we have since time was limited. We want something traditional with new twist. So we decided to wear a barong for our presentation.

Barong tagalog is part of the traditional filipino clothing. It is usually worn by filipino men for an important day or event. But now, thanks to today's inventive generation of designers, barong can be worn by women too with hot hot hot twist.

Our inspirations.

Our version.

43: A Day with Maali & Friends

In line with our thesis proposal, me and my thesis partner Abeng decided to be a zoo volunteer for a day. We had the opportunity to feed and observe the eating behavior of the animals in Manila Zoo particularly the birds and the asian elephant named Maali. The whole experience was a blast. It's perfectly awesome. This adventure gave me the chance to learn more about animals, meet new friends, gain valuable experience, interact with zoo visitors and have a wonderful time with some animal lovers and care takers.

42: Emerald for 2013

"Green is the most abundant hue in nature - the human eye sees more green than any other color in the spectrum. as it has throughout history, multifaceted Emerald continues to sparkle and fascinate. Symbolically, Emerald brings a sense of clarity, renewal and rejuvenation, which is so important in today's complex world. This powerful and universally appealing tone translates easily to both fashion and home interiors," said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute.

The Emerald Green can be used in a variety of clothing, accessories looks, makeup and even in decorating your home. You can work it out with other colors such as yellow, deep blue and black. Just use your imagination and let us start the year right. Be awesome! :)
